Abstract LHCb status:

LHCb is a dedicated experiment to study CP violation and other rare processes in the B 
meson system at LHC. We present here the status of the LHCb experiment with a short 
introduction on the motivation for the experiment and an overview of the detector design. 
Installation of the detector components is well advancing and the experiment is expected 
to be ready for data taking from the beginning of the LHC operation in late 2007.
