Information on undergraduate admissions and a general description of the undergraduate course in Physics is available from the Physics Department site under Admissions.

The parts of the undergraduate course that deal with particle physics are generally taught by members of our sub-department and a brief description is given in the following.

Undergraduates in Physics at Oxford all take a 24-lecture course in Particle Physics, starting with 6 lectures in Trinity term of their second year followed by 18 lectures in their third year.

Students doing the 4-year M Phys degree can take a Major Option in Particle Physics and there are several MPhys projects in particle and nuclear physics each year.

Short Options with a connection to particle physics are:

    Energy Studies
    Medical and Environmental Physics

The Practical Course includes several experiments in particle physics.
