Fellowships

The following is a list of fellowships & deadlines from the 2010/11 recruiting cycle. Many of the closing dates and eligibility criteria will be similar in 2011/12. We will update this list as and when the information for the 2011 process becomes available.

For any application, prior approval must be sought from the Head of Astrophysics

• Glasstone Fellowships
• RAS Fellowships 2012
• Royal Society University Research Fellowships
• Other Fellowships

Electronic Submissions

Please supply an electronic copy of your entire application to y.oakley1@physics.ox.ac.uk at least 10 working days before the funding body deadline. Alternatively please allow read/write access to your application. For STFC Fellowships please refer to the Astrophysics deadline below. After the internal selection procedure (if any) applications will be processed accordingly to include any financial figures. University approval for the application will also be sought for on behalf of the applicant. Once the internal procedures have been completed, applications may be submitted electronically to the funding body.

Paper Submissions

Please supply one paper copy of your entire application to the address below at least 10 working days before the funding body deadline. Once University approval has been given for an application, the appropriate number of copies will be made and posted to the funding body on behalf of the applicant.

Glasstone Fellowship

Astrophysics deadline: Friday 10 December 2010

Anyone interested in applying for the Glasstone Fellowships must first contact Pat Roche by email (pfr@astro.ox.ac.uk) cc Vanessa Ferraro-Wood (vfw@astro.ox.ac.uk) and Yunley Oakley (y.oakley1@physics.ox.ac.uk) before the deadline of 10 December 2010.   Please use subject heading "Glasstone Fellowships" and also indicate in your email the name of your sponsor (if known).
