Departmental Duties:  Leader of the Dust, Molecules and ISM group

Research Interests: Distant Galaxies: galaxy formation and evolution, stellar populations, mass assembly

- Origin of the cosmic background: infrared surveys with Spitzer and Herschel mm/submm surveys with SCUBA-2 and ALMA

- Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies: nature and evolution

- Physics of galaxies: starburst-AGN connection

- Properties of dust: origin of Poly-Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) in high redshift galaxies

- Mid-far infrared spectroscopy of nearby and distant galaxies
