About Marie Curious: Marie Curious is a programme of free one-day science events for girls aged 11-14. The events aims to build confidence in girls with an interest in science and fuel a passion for continuing to pursue STEM subjects at a higher level.

About the day: It's a busy day that begins with a series of ice-breakers to help you get to know your group. You will then join three 45-minute, hands-on workshops all about science, technology, engineering or maths. The workshops are run by passionate role-models from a variety of fields. The workshops are followed by a lively Q&A session with leading scientists from all stages in their careers, ready to answer your questions. The day concludes with an interactive science show.

Lunch and refreshments: You should bring a packed lunch to the event. Refreshments and snacks at break times will be provided.

Parents and guardians: Parents/guardians should drop off their daughters/wards at 10am. Collection will be at 5.30pm, unless you wish to join us for the science show at the end of the day.

The venue: The day is hosted at King's High School, Warwick.
