Web Access to Exchange

The new front end system Winfe is now the preferred means for connection into the exchange systems, so please use the web addresses below. This machine has a security certificate signed by a well know authority so there is no longer any need to download certificates before use. It is running the latest exchange service pack which improves the OMA interface which is designed for those using mobile phones.

Outlook Web Access (OWA)

This provides a highly functional web application for those with desktop machines or laptops connected to the internet via dialup or broadband.

Outlook Mobile Access (OMA)

This provides a text only interface to exchange for those using mobile phone or PDA's. It uses minimum bandwidth and screen area. It provides basic but very usable access to email, contacts, phone numbers, calendar appointments etc.

What to do if Winfe is not available

Please note that it is still possible to connect directly to the backend servers by replacing `winfe` with `exchng6` or `exchng7` depending on which server your mailbox resides. This is only recommended if the winfe service should fail for some reason.

Access from other types of client

Exchange supports open protocols so all common email clients can also be used. See the overview of Exchange.
