Video and Audio Conferences

The department has the following facilities for video conferences:
- Physics Video Conferencing Room (ISDN and TCP/IP) located on level 5 of the Denys Wilkinson Building. Facilities: multi-way conferencing with up to 3 sites over TCP/IP, ISDN, or telephone (any combination), document camera, data sharing from user's laptop.
- Clarendon Video Conferencing system (TCP/IP only) located in MW8 on the first floor of the Martin Wood Building. Facilities: multi-way conferencing over TCP/IP, data sharing from user's laptop.
- BIPAC Video Conferencing System (TCP/IP only) located in the Beecroft Seminar room on level 5 of the Denys Wilkinson building.
- Mulvey_Room(TCP/IP onl) located on level 6 of the Denys Wilkinson Building.
- Particle_Plysics Mobile_Unit 2 Laptop based system for Particle Physics meetings - can also be used for broadcasting lectures, see

Multi-way conferences can be organized in 3 different ways:
- Dialling from your office telephone (provided that this is unbarred):
You can dial up to 3 external lines as follows:
- dial the first number
- press R, dial second number and wait for reply, press R*4
- press R, dial third number and wait for reply, press R*4
2. Using a conference service provider such as Powwownow

- When prompted each participant enters the PIN code of the meeting.
- A PIN code for your meeting can be booked through the secretaries
- Alternatively, you can register yourself and get a personal PIN code (you should register for "enhanced access" which is free.

3. Using the main video conference system
- Conference phones (advanced speaker phones) can be borrowed from the Physics Photographic unit or from the Particle Physics secretariat.
