PHYSTAT 05 - General Information
General Information
The aim of the Conference is to discuss advanced
statistical analysis techniques as used in measurements and searches in
Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology. Topics of relevance
are:
- Combination of analyses and results
- Simulation issues and Monte Carlo theory
- Treatment of systematics in theory and practice
- Signal significance
- Setting limits
- Multivariate event classification
- Convolution and deconvolution
- Optimal measurements
- Techniques for 'blind' analyses
- Time series and point processes
There will be invited talks, and also submitted contributions. We do
not intend to include the reporting of current experimental results or
standard statistical analyses.
