General information for undergraduates

In general, before term you should be completing the preparatory work
and/or preparing for collections.
Collections, that is, beginning of term test papers, are on Friday of 0'th week, morning and afternoon, in Hilary and Trinity terms. Sometimes there may be one in Michaelmas term.
A mark in a collection paper below 40%, or two marks below 50%, or vacation work of a poor standard, will normally lead to a Special Collection.
Meetings with tutors take place on Friday of 0'th week, with the exception of the first meeting (Michaelmas term) with 1st year students, which is Wednesday of 0'th week.
In Michaelmas term the times are:
| 1st year: Wednesday 0th week, 4:30 p.m. |
| 2nd year: Friday 5:10 p.m. |
| 3rd year: Friday 5:30 p.m. |
| 4th year: Friday 5:00 p.m. |
In Hilary and Trinity term the times are:
| 1st year: Friday 5:15 p.m. |
| 2nd year: Friday 5:35 p.m. |
| 3rd year: Friday 5:50 p.m. |
| 4th year: Friday 5:05 p.m. |
