I am a DPhil student supervised by Gianluca Gregori and Subir Sarkar. My research interests lie in new physics searches involving high power lasers. More specifically, I am thinking about axion searches like: Axion detection in resonant photon-photon collisions and alternative search strategies.

I am thinking about axion cosmology, in particular, the appearance of topological defects in the early universe. Currently I am interested in solutions to the axion domain wall problem involving light field dynamics during inflation or the coupling to other topological defects.

In the past I thought about Second Order Fermi cosmic ray acceleration and the prospects of laboratory experiments to measure the effect. Analytical estimates of proton acceleration in laser-produced turbulent plasmas suggests the possibility and experimental verification is planned.

I have also been interested in strong field electrodynamics coupled to axions: Axion-like-particle decay in strong electromagnetic backgrounds.
