I am a member of the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron, where I performed a precise measurement of the W boson mass. The final measurement deviates significantly from the Standard Model prediction, as described in (among others) the CERN Courier and the BBC. The measurement also shows some tension with other measurements, as discussed in this CERN Courier article.
I am also a member of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, where I contributed to the 2012 discovery of the Higgs boson using its decay to a pair of W bosons. I have since performed several measurements of this channel and am currently studying the production of the Higgs boson at high momentum.
I also tutor second-year quantum mechanics at Corpus Christi and St Catherine's colleges, and third-year nuclear and particle physics at St Catz.
