Annabella Meech is a DPhil student working under the supervision of Prof Suzanne Aigrain. She specialises in observations of exoplanets, and characterisation of their atmospheres. In particular her research focuses on high-resolution spectroscopy, improving data reduction techniques and application of Gaussian processes to these data. She is also interested in Neptune-sized planets, less well-known than the extensively studied hot Jupiter population.
Annabella is passionate about science outreach and accessibility, and volunteers with Skype a Scientist, connecting scientists to classrooms worldwide.
Prior to Oxford, Annabella studied Physics at the University of Warwick, and worked with Dr Matteo Brogi on low-resolution spectroscopy.
