I am a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Clarendon Laboratory. I studied chemistry at the University of Padova, Italy, where I specialised on the synthesis and structural characterisation of new hybrid organic-inorganic materials (HQMs). Then, I moved to the University of Bern in Switzerland to carry out my PhD in the field of quantum crystallography. There, I primarily focused on the determination of accurate electron charge- and spin-density distributions using high-resolution X-ray diffraction and density functional theory calculations to explain dielectric and magnetic properties of HQMs. After obtaining my PhD I came to the UK to carry out my current SNF project in which I am pairing X-ray quantum crystallography with neutron diffraction to interpret the physics of HQMs.
