I am interested in exotic, strongly correlated phases of matter. I focus on quantum spin liquids, in which frustrated interactions between spins lead to a highly entangled ground state, which supports fractionalised quasiparticles. I have developed both analytical and numerical methods to access these exotic phases of matter; most recently, I have explored neural networks as a tool to describe their complicated ground states. I also collaborate closely with neutron scattering experiments on frustrated magnetic materials in the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
