Centre for Postgraduate Training in Plasma Physics and High Energy Density Science

Graduate students that are members of OxCHEDS are also part of the Centre for Postgraduate Training in Plasma Physics and High Energy Density Science. The centre, which is coordinated by Peter Norreys, is a joint effort by the University of Oxford and our partner research groups at Imperial College London and the University of Warwick to provide unparalleled training in plasma and high energy density physics.

The course covers a wide variety of topics, including:

  • high-energy-density plasmas
  • astrophysical plasmas
  • space plasmas
  • dusty plasmas
  • computational plasma physics
  • laser-plasma accelerators
  • laser-plasma interactions
  • inertial confinement fusion
  • magnetic confinement fusion

More information about the training centre can be found here.
