Ultrafast Near Edge X-ray Absorption Measurement of the Insulator-to-metal Transition in VO2
Optics Infobase Conference Papers (2004)
Abstract:
We measure the insulator-to-metal transition in VO2 using time-resolved Near-Edge X-ray Absorption. Picosecond pulses of synchrotron radiation are used to detect the red-shift in the Vanadium L3 edge at 516 eV, associated with bandgap collapse.Ultrafast soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy of the VO2 electronic phase transition

The photo-induced insulator-to-metal transition in strongly-correlated VOVO2 Nano-particles in Silica: Ultrafast Phase Transition and Shape-dependent Optical Switching at 1.55 µm
Optics Infobase Conference Papers (2004)
Abstract:
We report on the ultrafast insulator-metal phase transition of nanorods of VO2 in Silica. The magnitude of the 1.55-µm, room temperature optical switching can be controlled by particle size and geometry.Evidence for a structurally-driven insulator-to-metal transition in VO2: A view from the ultrafast timescale - art. no. 161102
