Search for third generation leptoquarks in p̄ p collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV
Physical Review Letters 78:15 (1997) 2906-2911
Abstract:
We present the results of a search for third generation leptoquark (LQ) pairs in 110 ± 8 pb-1 of pp collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We assume third generation leptoquarks decay to a τ lepton and a b quark with branching ratio β. We observe one candidate event, consistent with standard model background expectations. We place upper limits on σ(p̄p → LQLQ) · β2 as a function of the leptoquark mass MLQ. We exclude at 95% confidence level scalar leptoquarks with MLQ < 99 GeV/c2, gauge vector leptoquarks with MLQ < 225 GeV/c2, and nongauge vector leptoquarks with MLQ < 170 GeV/c2 for β= 1.Color coherent radiation in multijet events from pp- collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV

Abstract:
We report on a study of color coherence effects in pp- collisions at a center of mass energy √s = 1.8 TeV. The data were collected with the DØ detector during the 1992-1993 run of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. We observe the presence of initial-to-final state color interference with the spatial correlations between soft and hard jets in multijet events in the central and in forward pseudorapidity regions. The results are compared to Monte Carlo simulations with different color coherence implementations and to the predictions of script O sign(α3s) QCD calculations. © 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.Observation of scaling violations in scaled momentum distributions at HERA
