Kristian Strømmen

We are delighted to welcome Kristian Strømmen back to our group!
Kristian has been working on midlatitude predictability since 2013, most recently contributing to the EERIE high-resolution climate model project and a scientific role at ECMWF where he focussed on stochastic sea-ice modelling.
He joins our new AUSPICE (Advancing Understanding of the Signal-to-Noise Paradox and its Impacts on Climate Ensembles) project, where he will study sources of predictability for seasonal forecasts of the Euro-Atlantic winter circulation.
