‘The physics of leaf evolution: entropy, algorithms and learning’

By Professor Ard Louis

This year we move closer to London to host our yearly garden party at the beautiful RHS Wisley Gardens. Our family friendly garden party will be taking place at RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science. A fitting venue for the topic of the physics of leaf evolution.

Hosted by Professor Andrew Boothroyd (Head of Physics) the suggested format of the afternoon will be:

3pm - Registration and welcome drinks

3:30 - Welcome short talk by Professor Andrew Boothroyd (Head of Physics)

3:45 - ‘The physics of leaf evolution: entropy, algorithms and learning’ by Professor Ard Louis

4:30 - Q&A - Afternoon tea is served

6pm - End of event

Included in the registration is free access to the gardens before the event, so an ideal way to make a day out of it. Parking is available at the venue, as well as access via public transport.

Registration has closed as we are fully booked. Please write to the alumni office to check for availability or to put your name on the waiting list.
