New event!
We are excited to announce this new event dedicated to quantum technologies at the Department of Physics, University of Oxford. Join us for a day filled with hands-on activities and interactive sessions led by scientists working on cutting-edge research in the field. Additionally, there will be a chance to see inside our state-of-the-art labs and ask your questions to a careers panel featuring professionals from the local quantum industry. The day will provide valuable insights for students interested in this exciting field.
The aim of this event is to introduce the following ideas to young people:
- The quantum industry is rapidly growing, offering exciting career opportunities to shape the future of technology and innovation.
- Quantum phenomena such as the wave-like properties of electrons, superposition and entanglement are at the heart of these advancements.
- Quantum research is intricate and requires state-of-the-art labs to minimise noise and achieve accurate results.
Why quantum technology?
A career in the quantum industry is an exciting opportunity for your students that combines science and technology to create groundbreaking advancements. Working in this field means they could help develop powerful new computers, improve secure communications, and solve complex problems that were impossible before. If your students enjoy math, physics, and computers, the quantum industry offers a chance to be part of cutting-edge innovation and make a big impact on the world.
