Dr Alexandra Ramadan receives Research Visionary Award

Photovoltaics and nanoscience
Condensed Matter Physics

Dr Alexandra Ramadan is one of six early career researchers to be awarded a Rank Prize Research Visionary Award. The one-off awards are part of the Rank Prize’s 50th anniversary celebrations and entrants were asked to consider what the next 50 years of scientific enquiry and discovery might reveal.

Dr Ramadan was one of three early-career researchers in the field of optoelectronics – the other three winners were from the field of nutrition – and as a result, she is taking part in a tailored programme of workshops and one-to-one speaker and media training. Dr Ramadan will present her vision of the future at an event in January hosted by Professor Jim Al-Khalili at the Royal College of Physicians in London.
