Research visit to Wuhan University, China
At the beginning of March, five members of our group travelled to Wuhan, China, for a research visit at the State Key Laboratory for Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering Science. During a workshop organised by our host, Professor Jiabo Yin, we presented our recent work and learned about the research conducted his group. Their work on hydroclimate extremes provided a fruitful ground for engaging and productive discussions.
Later in the week, we had the opportunity to explore Wuhan, admire the early cherry blossoms and visit the historic Yellow Crane Tower.
We sincerely thank our hosts for their generosity in supporting our travel and for showing us around the city. We returned to Oxford with many new ideas and are excited about future collaborations.
Many thanks to Jiabo, Lei, Chiang and all the students who made our trip so memorable!
