The Undergraduate Ambassador Scheme

Our physics undergraduate ambassadors are a vital part of our work in the outreach team, helping us to run everything from from science stalls at music festivals to courses supporting students studying for the PAT. Our ambassadors also receive a wide range of support and training throughout their time with us.

If you are a current physics undergraduate at Oxford University, we would love you to join us. You can get involved at whatever level you like, from occasionally helping out to developing new ideas, demonstrations and programmes. There are plenty of paid opportunities, and you can choose which events to get involved with - we run things in evenings, at weekends or in the daytime, so there's bound to be something that suits you. You will meet other likeminded students as well as researchers, staff and more, all while sharing your enthusiasm for physics with others. If you want to, you can also build your confidence and presentation skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

We send out regular bulletins with details of all the upcoming opportunities to all our ambassadors. If you sign up below, we will be in touch with details of this and of further training opportunities and how to get involved.

The 2020-2021 version of the Physics Ambassador Handbook is available here for interest. A new version will be available soon.

If you have any questions, you can get in touch with us by emailing engage@physics.ox.ac.uk.
