Abstract:
Planck observations of polarized dust emission have forced a rethinking of the dust models that have been built up over the last five decades. I will first introduce the "astrodust" dust model and its implications for modeling dust emission in CMB polarization experiments. I will then connect to models of interstellar structure to provide a physical description of dust EE/BB, TE, TB, and EB with implications for searches for cosmic birefringence as well as primordial B-modes.
