How To Build a Quantum Christmas

This festive season, join us for an exciting Christmas Lecture that dives into the fascinating world of quantum computing.

This interactive show is suitable for anyone aged 11 and up, will bring the wonder of quantum physics to life. No previous knowledge required.

Discover how researchers are building quantum computers, what makes these extraordinary machines so powerful, and whether we might one day all have one sitting on our desks, or even in our pockets!

Get ready for 50 minutes of fun demonstrations and mind-bending ideas, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions (and prizes for the most inventive ones!).

Who Will Be Delivering

This show will be delivered by one of our amazing Physics Engagement Officers and a team of Quantum Physicists!

Their research interests include ion-trapped quantum computers, mirror trapping and the motion of single atoms.
