Micron size laser-wire system at the ATF extraction line
Proceedings of EPAC 08 1065-1067
Abstract:
The ATF extraction line laser-wire system has recently been upgraded allowing the measurement of micron scale transverse size electron beams. We report on the hardware upgrades, including focusing lens, laser and mechanical systems. First measurements using the new system from recent operation at the ATF in KEK are presented.Resolution of Longitudinal Profile Measures using Coherent Smith-Purcell Radiation with the Number of Gratings and the Number of Pulses Used

Abstract:
The E-203 collaboration is testing a device on FACET at SLAC to measure the longitudinal profile of electron bunches using Smith-Purcell radiation. At FACET the electron bunches have an energy of 20~GeV and a duration of a few hundred femtoseconds. Smith-Purcell radiation is emitted when a charged particle passes close to the surface of a metallic grating. We have studied the stability of the measurement from pulse to pulse and the resolution of the measure depending on the number of gratings used.Search for new phenomena in final states with large jet multiplicities and missing transverse momentum using sqrt s = 7 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
