I am a Hintze Fellow working at the intersection of time-domain astrophysics and data science. My research leverages wide-field optical surveys, including ATLAS, ZTF, and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), to investigate the progenitor systems of astrophysical transients, particularly supernovae and tidal disruption events. My work bridges population-level statistical inference with detailed case studies of rare, peculiar explosions.
Prior to joining Oxford, I completed my PhD in astronomy at Northwestern University, focusing on the explosion physics of Type Ia supernovae. I obtained my BSc at Peking University.
