  • About

I am a DPhil student in the Interdisciplinary Life and Environmental Science Landscape Award (ILESLA) Doctoral Training Programme at the University of Oxford, supervised by Prof. Tim Woollings and Prof. Philip Stier. My research investigates how anthropogenic forcings influence the large-scale circulation of the atmosphere, with a particular focus on the competing effects of aerosol and greenhouse gas emissions.

My work combines atmospheric reanalysis, coordinated climate model simulations and targeted numerical experiments to investigate the mechanisms through which aerosol forcing modifies atmospheric circulation and interacts with other anthropogenic forcings, particularly greenhouse gas emissions. I am especially interested in how recent changes in regional aerosol emissions influence large-scale atmospheric dynamics, and in the roles of ocean coupling, aerosol–cloud interactions and model resolution in shaping these circulation responses.

More broadly, I am interested in atmospheric dynamics, aerosol–climate interactions, Earth system modelling, climate variability, and improving the physical understanding of anthropogenic climate change.

Research interests

Atmospheric dynamics and large-scale circulation
Aerosol–climate interactions
Mid-latitude storm tracks and jet streams dynamics
Climate variability and change
