I am currently developing models of atmospheric dynamics and radiative heating applicable to giant planets including Jupiter and Saturn, and have previously considered terrestrial planets such as Venus.

For my doctoral thesis I studied plasma turbulence in fusion devices.

My work combines theoretical with some data analysis, and numerical modelling ranging from large Fortran codes on high-performance computers to simple Python scripts.

Research interests

Atmospheric dynamics of Earth and other planets
Turbulence in geophysical fluids and plasmas
Energy transport in all these contexts
Multi-scale dynamics
