Field of Research

Alexander Gerbershagen’s research applies accelerator and radiation physics to medicine, with an emphasis on radiation therapy, accelerator‑based production of radioisotopes for nuclear medicine and emerging theranostic programmes. He also develops high‑intensity proton/ion beam delivery and the associated beam diagnostics and dosimetry for novel irradiation techniques, including ultra‑high dose‑rate operation and proton radiography.
