I am currently researching technosignatures: signs of non-human technology in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). I develop scientific software to look for narrowband, Doppler-drifting signals in radio astronomy observations—primarily from the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array (ATA) at the Hat Creek Radio Observatory (HCRO) in Northern California. Recent technosignature campaigns include surveying the third-ever interstellar object, 3I/ATLAS, and the Anti-Solar Point as a Schelling point.
My background is mainly in neuroscience and software engineering. Before joining Breakthrough Listen and Oxford's Physics department, my computational neuroscience research included commercial applications of non-invasive biomagnetic sensors and neuro-modulating brain computer interfaces.
