Measurement of the B s 0-B -s 0 oscillation frequency δm s in B s 0→D s -(3)π decays
Physics Letters, Section B: Nuclear, Elementary Particle and High-Energy Physics 709:3 (2012) 177-184
Abstract:
The B s0-B -s0 oscillation frequency δm s is measured with 36 pb -1 of data collected in pp collisions at s=7TeV by the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. A total of 1381 B s0→D s-π+ and B s0→D s-π +π -π + signal decays are reconstructed, with average decay time resolutions of 44 fs and 36 fs, respectively. An oscillation signal with a statistical significance of 4.6σ is observed. The measured oscillation frequency is δm s=17.63±0.11(stat)±0.02(syst)ps -1. © 2012 CERN.First observation of the decay B s 0→K *0K̄ *0

Abstract:
The first observation of the decay B s 0→K *0K̄ *0 is reported using 35 pb -1 of data collected by LHCb in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. A total of 49.8±7.5 Bs0→(K +π -)(K -π +) events are observed within ±50 MeV/c 2 of the B s 0 mass and 746 MeV/c 2First observation of the decay Bs 0→K*0K̄*0

Physical Review Letters 108:11 (2012)
Abstract:
A search for time-integrated CP violation in D0 → h-h+ (h = K, π) decays is presented using 0.62 fb-1 of data collected by LHCb in 2011. The flavor of the charm meson is determined by the charge of the slow pion in the D∗+ → D0π+ and D∗- → D¯0π- decay chains. The difference in CP asymmetry between D0 → K-K+ and D0 → π-π+, ΔACP ≈ ACP(K-K+)-ACP(π-π+), is measured to be [-0.82 ± 0.21(stat) ± 0.11(syst)]%. This differs from the hypothesis of CP conservation by 3.5 standard deviations. © 2012 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration.
