I joined the Physics Research Facilitation team in Dec 2025. Prior to this I spent ~18 months as the Research Facilitator in the Biology Dept.
I have a BSc in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Protein Biochemistry. Prior to working at the University I was in industry, predominantly working in SMEs. I started out as a bench scientist and moved into project management, eventually becoming CTO of an industrial biotech company and then CEO of a life sciences spin out. I have also spent a bit of time as a biotech consultant. Through these various roles I have honed my grant reviewing and application skills and am now putting them to good use.
