DPhil Candidate (DPhil, 3nd year).
I work with Prof. Manjit Dosanjh on the STELLA project (Smart Technology to Extend Lives with Linear Accelerators) in conjunction with a small team at CERN to develop LINAC radiotherapy units for lower/middle-income countries using AI and machine learning. My research focuses on Variational Autoencoder- and Transformer-based approaches to fault prediction in existing radiotherapy LINACs, using machine fault logs to predict machine downtime modes and advance warning times.
In my Master's project I researched magnet design for VHEE radiotherapy as part of the CLEAR group at CERN, helping to develop a new design of toroidal quadrupole magnet for the VHEE GaToroid project.
Outside of academia I enjoy sport, and am an active member of the university cross-country (OUCCC) and athletics (OUAC) teams as well as sitting on the committee of the orienteering club (OUOC), with which I compete internationally all over Europe.
