I have been a member of the Physics Research Facilitation team since 2017. My role is to support the Department by facilitating research-related activities including applications for external research grant and fellowships. Please see our team's webpages (https://www.physics.ox.ac.uk/research/research-funding-support) for more information about how we can help you with your applications.
I am a trained Mental Health First Aider - please do get in touch with me on email or Teams for a chat if you need mental health support for yourself or a colleague - see here for more details: https://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/staff/equality-diversity-and-inclusion/me….
Recently I have also been co-coordinating the department's mentoring scheme, working within the department as an EDI champion - supporting the department's recent successful Gold Athena Swan application, and working with colleagues in the department and wider University to implement EDI best practice in our research facilitation activities.
Prior to joining Physics I spent two years working for the University's central Research Services team supporting various departments in the MPLS and Medical Sciences divisions with grant applications and grant management. I have a Masters in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol and a PhD in Respiratory Pharmacology from the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London. I have also spent time working in the Pharmaceutical Industry including placements at GSK and Novartis, and at a pharmaceutical contract research organisation.
