Professor Parra Diaz is a visiting professor. He is currently a Professor of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University and the Head of the Theory Department at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). He is interested in hot magnetized plasmas, and in particular, in plasmas for nuclear fusion energy, but has also worked on cold, partially ionized plasmas and accelerators.
