I co-led a (rather involved but very fun) early career researcher (ECR) social at the 2026 EarthCARE satellite workshop. Subsequently, I hosted an ECR discussion forum, was invited to join the final workshop panel discussion, and started the new EarthCARE Early Career Scientist Network.

Our recent paper titled "Convective controls on anvil cloud evolution in the ICON km-scale global climate model" was published in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics.
I created and co-chaired the new UK Early Career Cloud Physics Group Symposium, which was hosted over two days in Oxford. The group now has a committee of representatives from around the UK and hosts regular seminars.

Our recent paper titled "A climatology of meteorological droughts in New England, Australia, 1880–2022" was published in Journal of Southern Hemisphere Earth System Science. We show how the nature of droughts in the region has changed over the historical record.
I visited Colorado State University from October to November 2025, hosted by leading expert on convection and convective clouds, Susan van den Heever.
I presented at the 2025 Gordon Research Conference on Radiation and Climate, after being invited to repeat the talk I gave at the preceding early-career Gordon Research Seminar.
I provided scientific context to lived experiences of sea level rise in Tuvalu, based on a recent study I led. This video was prepared for the United Nations General Assembly in New York on the 25th of September 2024.
