Abstract:

We report the first observation of the decay D+→η ′e+νe in two analyses, which combined provide a branching fraction of B(D+→η ′e+νe)=(2.16±0.53±0.07) ×10-4. We also provide an improved measurement of B(D +→ηe+νe)=(11.4±0.9±0. 4)×10-4, provide the first form factor measurement, and set the improved upper limit B(D+→e+νe)<0. 9×10-4 (90%C.L.). © 2011 American Physical Society.

Abstract:

Using 586pb⊃-1 of e⊃+e⊃- collision data at E c.m.=4170MeV, produced at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring collider and collected with the CLEO-c detector, we observe the process e⊃+e⊃-→π⊃+π⊃-hc(1P). We measure its cross section to be 15.6±2.3±1.9±3.0pb, where the third error is due to the external uncertainty on the branching fraction of ψ(2S)→π0hc(1P), which we use for normalization. We also find evidence for e⊃+e⊃-→ηhc(1P) at 4170 MeV at the 3σ level and see hints of a rise in the e⊃+e⊃- →π⊃+π⊃-hc(1P) cross section at 4260 MeV.

Abstract:

We present the first search for the decay Ds+→ωe+ν to test the four-quark content of the Ds+ and the ω- mixing model for this decay. We use 586pb-1 of e+e- collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 4170 MeV. We find no evidence of a signal, and set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(Ds+→ω e+ν)<0.20% at the 90% confidence level. © 2011 American Physical Society.

D0-D∥0 mixing studies with the decays D0→KS0K∓π±

Physics Letters, Section B: Nuclear, Elementary Particle and High-Energy Physics 701:3 (2011) 353-356

Authors:

S Malde, G Wilkinson

Abstract:

We demonstrate how a time-dependent analysis of the decays D0→KS0K∓π± can be used to determine the D0-D∥0 mixing parameter y with a precision that is competitive with established methods. The proposed analysis is an inclusive study which makes use of the measurements of the coherence factor and mean strong phase difference for these decays recently performed by CLEO. © 2011 Elsevier B.V.
