Shruti joined us in February 2024 to work on using Machine Learning to improve rainfall forecasts for East Africa. Her role here with us is through a new project with the World Food Programme, supported by Google and in collaboration with several African Meteorological institutes.
Shruti recently completed her PhD at ETH in Zurich where she developed an Earth system model emulator and used AI to understand the impact of land use changes on climate.
