A Henry Moseley Circle special event

The Henry Moseley Circle special event 2023

Members of the Henry Moseley Circle are invited to join us on a personal tour of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery in the new Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building, followed by a reception.

The visit will be hosted by Professors Ian Shipsey (Head of Physics), Achillefs Kapanidis (Co-Deputy Director of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery), Stephen Tucker, Andrew Turberfield and Richard Berry who will give us a tour of their labs, share updates on their research as well as the wider work of the Kavli Institute. The event will be followed by a reception. 

Members are welcome to bring a guest, please note spaces are limited and booking closes on 6 October**. 

Format of the day

15:15 Registration opens, collection of name badges, coffee.
15:30 Welcome short talks by Prof Ian Shipsey (Head of Physics) and Prof Achillefs Kapanidis (Professor of Physics, and Co-Deputy Director of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery), followed by other researchers talks about the current work at labs we will be visiting.
16:30 Lab tours.
17:15 Drinks and canape reception.
18:30 End of event.
