I am the interim Deputy Head of Administration and Finance and I will be working here until early August, providing support to the Head of Administration and Finance, Simon Probert, as well as the wider department while a permanent Deputy Head of Finance and Administration is recruited. I will primarily be working with the Finance, Grants and Research Facilitation teams.
I have been working at the University for almost six years, joining in 2019 as the Head of Administration and Finance in the Department of Materials. I moved into the same role in the newly formed Department of Biology in August 2022, following the merger of the Departments of Plant Sciences and Zoology. I left Biology in the summer of 2024,and since then I have been supporting departments in the MPLS Division and the wider university in a number of short-term placements. Prior to joining the university, I spent 15 years as the senior administrator in a number of schools in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and before that, worked as an actuary in the Financial Services industry.
