  • About

I look after the Department's nanofabrication cleanroom facility, including electron beam lithography, focused ion beam, and scanning electron microscopes.

I work across a wide range of applications of nanoscale science and nanotechnology in both the physical and life sciences, including nanophotonics, quantum technology and medical applications.  I also work regularly with commercial/industrial organisations for their nanoscale imaging and characterisation requirements, such as sub-surface metrology or the identification and visualisation of defects or device failure sites.

My academic background is in laser physics and photonics (both at undergrad and PhD level) with specialisation in experimental non-linear and quantum optics.
