Biography

Dr Paul Burdekin is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford, working with Professor Ian Walmsley in the Oxford Quantum Institute. His research focuses on photonic quantum memories and their applications in quantum networks, quantum sensing, and quantum information processing. Dr Burdekin obtained his MSci in Physics from the University of Bristol before completing a PhD at Imperial College London under the supervision of Professor Alex Clark. His doctoral research explored single-photon sources based on organic molecules and their integration with atom-light interfaces for quantum technologies.
