Abstract:

A measurement of the decay amplitudes in B→ J/ψK* channels was presented using 20.7 fb-1 of data collected at the γ(4S) resonance. The effect of S-wave in the K* region was estimated by including a scalar term in the total amplitude. Monte Carlo simulation was also used to estimate uncertainities due to the assumed form for the mES angular distributions of the background.

Abstract:

A limit on the branching fraction for the decay Bo→γγ was presented using data collected at the γ(4S) resonance at the PEP-II asymmetric energy collider. The energy resolution was measured with a radioactive source at low energy and with electrons from Bhabha scattering at high energy. The energy deposits were reconstructed by grouping adjacent crystals with energy deposits greater than 1 MeV into clusters.

Abstract:

An overview is given on the results of searches for B decays to the charmless two-body final states B+→wπ+, B+→wK+, B+→η'π+, B+→η'K+, B0→wK0, B0→wπ0, and B0→η,'K0. The results are based on data taken in the 1999-2000 run. The data were collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric e+e- collider located at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.

Abstract:

An overview is given on lifetime measurements based on a sample of approximately 23 million BB̄ pairs recorded near the Y(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector. The determined B0 and B+ meson lifetimes and their ratio are highlighted.

Abstract:

The cross section σe+e- → J/ψX = 2.52 ± 0.21 ± 0.21 pb was measured. Restricting to p* > 2 GeV/c, 1.87 ± 0.10 ± 0.15 pb were found. The total cross section and the angular distribution favor the NRQCD calculation over the color singlet model.
