  • About

I'm a DPhil student in the Astrophysics sub-department, and I specialise in astronomical instrumentation specifically as part of the HARMONI team.

I am part of a large international consortium to build the High Angular Resolution Monolithic Optical and Near-infrared Integral field spectrograph (HARMONI) for the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT).

My research involves the characterisation of the HARMONI diffraction gratings, novel optical alignment techniques, and also studying the potential for HARMONI to observe intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs).

Finally, I contribute to Astrobites, a “daily astrophysical literature journal written by graduate students in astronomy”. It’s aimed at undergraduates who want a more accessible view on recent publications.
