Hemispheric tectonics on super-Earth LHS 3844b

This artist’s illustration represents the possible interior dynamics of the super-Earth exoplanet LHS 3844b. The planet property and star strong irradiation might lead to a hemispheric tectonic regime.

  • About

My research focuses on understanding the interior dynamics of rocky exoplanets. For this, I run global mantle convection simulations to explore the different tectonic regimes that might operate on these planets and how these might influence potential atmospheres. This coupling between the interior and the atmosphere is a key component to understand the habitability of distant worlds.
