Black Hole

Lensing of space time around a black hole. At Oxford we study black holes observationally and theoretically on all size and time scales - it is some of our core work.

I am a graduate student in the Superconducting Quantum Detectors (SQD) group. My research interests focus on the development of superconducting devices for applications in astrophysics and beyond. I have previous research experience working with superconducting detectors such as Microwaves Kinetic Inductance Detectors (MKIDs) and Superconductor-Insulator-Superconductor (SIS) mixers.

I am currently cursing a DPhil programme, supervised by Dr. Boon Kok Tan, on the development of Josephson Parametric Amplifiers, including Josephson Travelling Wave Parametric Amplifiers (JTWPAs), for operation in the microwave and millimetre-wave regime.
