Distributions of charged hadrons observed in deep-inelastic muon-deuterium scattering at 490 GeV
Physics Letters B 272:1-2 (1991) 163-168
Abstract:
Longitudinal and transverse momentum spectra of final state hadrons produced in deep-inelastic muon-deuterium scattering at incident muon energy of 490 GeV have been measured up to a hadronic center of mass energy of 30 GeV. The longitudinal distributions agree well with data from earlier muon-nucleon scattering experiments; these distributions tend to increase in steepness as the center of mass energy increases. Comparisons with e+e- data at comparable center of mass energies indicate slight differences. The transverse momentum distributions show an increase in mean pA study of massive electron pairs and associated particles produced at the CERN ISR

Abstract:
A sample of 105 e+ e- events with an invariant mass greater than 11 GeV/c2 produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 62.3 GeV is discussed. Cross sections are presented as a function of mass and transverse momentum. The multiplicity, transverse momentum, and azimuthal dependence of associated particles are also studied. © 1991.A spectrometer for muon scattering at the Tevatron

Abstract:
In this paper the spectrometer constructed by the E665 Collaboration is described. The spectrometer was built during the period 1982-87 and the first data were taken during the 1987-88 Fixed Target run of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) Tevatron. This is the first of a series of runs in which a comprehensive program of high energy muon scattering experiments will be performed. © 1990.A SPECTROMETER FOR MUON SCATTERING AT THE TEVATRON - E665 COLLABORATION
