Research
I was a postdoc in the Davis group from 2019 to 2023 in the Physics Department after completing my PhD at Oxford in 2015-2019. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in quantum matter at the University of Bristol's School of Physics, while also a Long-Term Visitor at Oxford Physics. I am investigating the unconventional superconductivity in strongly correlated systems using a millikelvin scanning tunneling microscope (mK-STM). I am interested in high-temperature superconductors, topological matter and heavy fermions.
At Oxford, I designed and built the spectroscopic imaging-STM (SISTM) and Scanning Josephson Tunneling Microscope (SJTM) in the ultra-low vibration laboratories at Beecroft Building. I have searched for exotic quantum states such as pair density wave and nematicity in cuprates. I have also pursued research at Cornell University where I have investigated the candidate spin-triplet superconductor UTe2 using a 300 mK SJTM.
I won the Nicholas Kurti Science Prize for Europe for major breakthroughs in unconventional superconductivity and low-temperature physics.
