Condensed-matter experimentalist, with experience in materials synthesis
Research
I am investigating the unconventional superconductivity in strongly correlated systems using a millikelvin scanning tunneling microscope (mK-STM). I am interested in high-temperature superconductors, topological matter and heavy fermions.
At Oxford, I designed and built the spectroscopic imaging-STM (SISTM) and Scanning Josephson Tunneling Microscope (SJTM) in the ultra-low vibration laboratories at Beecroft Building. I have searched for exotic quantum states such as pair density wave and nematicity in cuprates.
I also pursue research at Cornell University where I investigate the candidate spin-triplet superconductor UTe2 using a 300 mK SJTM.
I received my PhD in surface nanoscience and thin film synthesis at University of Oxford in 2019.
I will be a new faculty at University of Bristol in December 2023. I will start a new STM group focused on quantum matter. We have international PhD studentships available.
