Black Hole

Lensing of space time around a black hole. At Oxford we study black holes observationally and theoretically on all size and time scales - it is some of our core work.

I am a DPhil student at the university of Oxford with a strong interest in Early Type Galaxies and Supermassive Black Holes. I am working with Michele Cappellari on measuring the masses of these black holes and testing the consistency of different methods of black hole mass determination with an emphasis on studying modelling assumptions. 

Before coming to Oxford I studied at Boston University where I majored in Physics and Mathematics. I am currently a visiting student at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching.
